On a recent trip to Put in Bay on South Bass Island in Lake Erie we had to stop at one of my favorite lighthouses, the Lighthouse at Marblehead Point.

From the Rocks

Back at the lighthouse at Marblehead Point on Lake Erie. One of my favorite aspects of this lighthouse is the rocky coastline surrounding it. I decided to get low this time to provide a little different perspective.

I was back out at the lighthouse at Marblehead Point on Lake Erie. This time it was very gloomy day.

I took another ride out to Marblehead to try to catch the sunrise. Right around the winter soltice the sun rises behind the lighthouse as taken from the rocks. It was cold and the rocks were very icy. I almost took a spill a couple of times. Its a good thing I didn't because unlike in the summer time there was absolutely no one else around.

Drama Over Lake Erie

This was taken at Headlands Beach on Lake Erie. I was moved by the dramatic look of the sky. It only lasted a moment. But in that moment I was reminded of the sheer beauty that you can find in this world if you just look.
