    Draw Bridge at Dawn

This has always been one of my favorite spots to view the city of Cleveland, Ohio. One of the things I love about the city is the industrial nature of it. Nothing shows that better than the views from the Cuyahoga River with all of its bridges.

  • After the Storm

    After the Storm

After the clouds cleared the sun started shining with this absolutely beautiful golden light. So I headed back towards the lighthouse.

  • Sunrise at Pemaquid Point

    Sunrise at Pemaquid Point

The lighthouse at Pemaquid Point is one of the most photographed places in all of Maine. It is easy to see why. The rocky shoreline is breathtaking.

  • Cleveland Skyline at Dusk from Edgewater Park

Cleveland Skyline at Dusk from Edgewater Park

This was taken from the Edgewater Park pier on Lake Erie in Cleveland, Ohio. I was out chasing some great light tonight. But unfortunately by the time I got down here the skies had clouded over and the light was no longer illuminating the city. So I braved the cold and wind and waited for the lights to come on. In the end I really like the dark, brooding sky in the background.

The lighthouse at Marblehead Point on Lake Erie is the most photographed spot in the state of Ohio.

  • Boulder Beach in Morning Light

    Boulder Beach in Morning Light

In Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island in Maine there is a beach along the coast consisting of these wonderfully round boulders. It was an overcast morning and the mountains were covered in fog so I headed down the Park Loop Road and hoped for the best. I reached this beach and despite the gray skies I began the very slow, careful trek across these very slippery boulders towards the sea. After 15 minutes I finally reached the waterline. As I was setting up my tripod I was blessed as the sky opened and my efforts were rewarded as the rocky coast was suddenly bathed in this glorious light. I was overcame with a sense of gratiude for the opportunities I have had to experience the beauty of nature. What a lucky man I am.

  • Gloomy Morning

    Gloomy Morning

Taken at the 2nd Ave Pier in Myrtle Beach SC. We went out to shoot a sunrise at the pier instead we got a rainy, gloomy morning. Sometimes you have to just go with what you are handed. I ended up likng how the mist formed at the bottom of the pier. It really adds to the gloomy almost spooky feeling.

  • Layers of a City

    Layers of a City

Any city is really a sum of its neighborgoods. And the City of Cleveland is no exception.

  • The Charm of Stonington

    The Charm of Stonington

Far away from the crowds and the tourist destinations of Maine lies a small fishing village on Deer Isle. Stonington is perhaps the quintessential Maine village with its abundance of lobster boats and as pictured here the typical charming houses of New England.

  • Nighttime at the Pier

    Nighttime at the Pier

Back at the 2nd Ave Pier in Myrtle Beach. The beach at night is one of my favorite places. It so peaceful and quiet, quite a difference from the action and excitement of the beach during the day.

  • Cleveland Skyline from Lake Erie at Dusk

Cleveland Skyline from Lake Erie at Dusk

The Cleveland skyline at dusk as taken from the breakwall on Lake Erie. Once again dusk is easily my favorite time of day. After the sun sets the earth is enveloped in beautiful blue and purple hues while the sky is aglow with the last remnants of the sun's rays. It is a glorious time of day.
